The Dangers Of Working At Heights
It took 3 seconds to change my life. On October 15th, 2005 at a galvanizing plant in Dublin I was asked to repair a damaged roof. That morning we had completed the first stage of the process successfully and had taken down the safety gear moving it down the site to prepare for another day’s work.
Getting back onto the roof to inspect the next day’s work and knowing the roof I was getting up on I was not wearing any safety equipment and in hindsight, I know that that was not the right way to do it.
Slipping in the gutter I fell into the roof and twenty-six feet to the ground below. That is the day that changed my life forever. Don’t be another statistic. Keep Sharp, Keep Safe Arrive Home Alive.
